APWA Sacramento hosts an annual music festival to AMPLIFY PUBLIC WORKS! All are welcome at this free family-friendly community event. Come out and see the musical side of the professionals who keep our communities running.

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 10:30am to 7pm
Location: 110 Blue Ravine Road, Folsom, CA 95630

The Sacramento Chapter’s annual music festival is back bigger and better this year! Featuring NINE bands throughout the day, this FREE family-friendly event provides a platform for professionals in the public works industry to showcase their musical talents. Each of our bands features members from the Public Works or AEC professional services industry and all proceeds from the festival benefit the Chapter’s Education Endowment Fund to provide grants to local Universities and Community Colleges that provide Public Works education in the Sacramento Region.

The idea to hold a public works-focused Music Festival came from Jeff Cox, an APWA member who realized several people in Public Works are also musicians. The first festival was held in 2017 and 300 people were in attendance to see 5 bands. Each year the festival has grown and this year, we are excited to again host the largest number of bands possible for a one-day event.

Thanks to our sponsors, this event is free to attend.

Amplify Public Works greatly appreciates the support of our 2026 sponsors:

The event is bike and scooter-friendly and located less than 2-miles from the SacRT light rail station at Iron Point and Folsom Blvd. Parking is free and plentiful in the adjacent neighbor’s parking lot and along Blue Ravine Road.

Back this year is our ever-popular Kid Zone which provides fun creative and physical activities for kids of all ages for free. The Kid Zone is a fun place for kids to hang out, play games, and create their own work of art. In years past we have offered yard games, hula hoops, rock painting, free face painting, temporary tattoos, create your own door hanger or water bottle, coloring, and more! 2025 promises even more fun and creativity for the kiddos! We do ask that you keep an eye on your children while they are in the Kid Zone, to keep the area safe, respectful, and fun.

There’s plenty of shade but come early for the best spots. Bring chairs, blankets, and the whole family! Dogs are permitted as long as they are on a leash, well-mannered, and cleaned up after.
