Red-Light Camera Systems: Improving Safety Through Automated Enforcement
Friday, November 6, 2026 | 11:30am – 1:00pm
Dante Event Center | 2330 Fair Oaks Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95825
Join APWA Sacramento Chapter for an informative luncheon as we explore how red-light camera systems can enhance roadway safety and support Vision Zero goals. Our speaker, Koosun Kim, PE, Director of Public Works, City of Mountain House, will walk through how automated enforcement works, what changes are coming under SB 720 in January 2026, and what cities should consider when evaluating or implementing a program. Attendees will gain insight into legal requirements, cost-neutral operational models, community engagement strategies, and proven safety outcomes from jurisdictions that have already deployed these systems.
