About the Scholarship

The Tim Fleming Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing careers in civil engineering and transportation. The scholarship recognizes academic commitment, leadership potential, and a dedication to public service within the engineering profession.

The program was established to honor the legacy of Tim Fleming and to encourage the next generation of public works and transportation professionals.

Student Eligibility

Students are encouraged to apply if they meet the following general criteria:

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate standing
• Major in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or a closely related field
• Enrolled at one of the following institutions:
  • California State University, Sacramento
  • University of California, Davis
  • University of the Pacific

Additional eligibility requirements may apply and will be outlined during each application cycle.

About Tim Fleming

Tim Fleming was a graduate of the University of the Pacific and Stanford University. He was an active and respected leader in the public works and engineering community throughout Northern California.

His professional service included leadership roles with the APWA Sacramento Chapter, where he served as Past President and Chapter Delegate, as well as active involvement with the ACEC Sierra Chapter.

Tim was known for his technical excellence, mentorship, and commitment to community service. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 51. This scholarship was created to honor his contributions and continue his legacy of leadership and service.
