The City of Elk Grove Public Works Department has an immediate opening for a Tree & Open Space Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience creating and maintaining ecologically diverse and functional urban forests and open spaces within the Elk Grove region; excels at managing teams, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of tree and open space care. They will be adept at urban forestry management, plant health, invasive weed/pest control, and seasonal maintenance; possess excellent communication skills, allowing them to interact effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and team members; and will be able to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and implement sustainable maintenance practices.
