Join us for the APWA Sacramento Chapter’s June Monthly Meeting, co-hosted with the ASCE Central Valley Branch, as we explore the remarkable journey of Mountain House, California. This special event will take place at the newly incorporated City of Mountain House Town Hall, offering attendees an exclusive opportunity to delve into the remarkable journey of California's 483rd city. With over 90% voter approval in March 2024, Mountain House officially became a city on July 1, 2024, marking the state's first new city incorporation in over a decade. Presented by Mountain House City Manager Steve Pinkerton, the presentation will explore the comprehensive process of incorporation, the challenges faced, and the innovative solutions implemented to achieve cityhood. Learn how a once-unincorporated community transformed into a self-governed city, driven by strong civic engagement, strategic planning, and a commitment to local control. Space is limited. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of municipal formation and the resilience of community-driven development.
