The Sacramento Chapter’s annual music festival is back bigger and better this year! Featuring NINE bands throughout the day, this FREE family-friendly event provides a platform for professionals in the public works industry to showcase their musical talents. Each of our bands features members from the Public Works or AEC professional services industry and all proceeds from the festival benefit the Chapter’s Education Endowment Fund to provide grants to five local Universities and Community Colleges that provide Public Works education in the Sacramento Region.
The idea to hold an APWA Music Festival came from Jeff Cox, an APWA member who realized several people in Public Works are also musicians. The first festival was held in 2017 and 300 people were in attendance to see 5 bands. Each year the festival has grown and this year, we are excited to again host the largest number of bands possible for a one-day event.

NEW THIS YEAR is a Vintage Vinyl Record Market! Come enjoy and purchase incredible vintage vinyl records on show by our on-site vendors.
Back this year is our ever-popular Kid Zone which provides fun creative and physical activities for kids of all ages for free. The Kid Zone is a fun place for kids to hang out, play games, and create their own work of art. In years past we have offered yard games, hula hoops, rock painting, free face painting, temporary tattoos, create your own door hanger or water bottle, coloring, and more! 2025 promises even more fun and creativity for the kiddos! We do ask that you keep an eye on your children while they are in the Kid Zone, to keep the area safe, respectful, and fun.
