Project of the Year Awards
2025 Nominations Now Open!
The APWA Sacramento Chapter Project of the Year Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements in public works projects across our Chapter. These innovative and impactful projects enhance our communities and advance the quality of life for all.
The Project of the Year Awards Program was established to promote excellence in the management and administration of public works projects by recognizing the alliance among the managing agency, the consultant/architect/engineer, and the contractor. You may submit a nomination in six project categories. These categories are further separated into population served and construction value:
Categories:
- Structures – New public structures or preservation/rehabilitation of existing structures including municipal buildings and parks.
- Transportation – Roads, freeway, bridges, mass transit, etc. that may serve any or all modes of travel. Includes bicycles and foot traffic
- Environment – Treatment & recycling facilities; landfill reclamation; sewer; flood control; pipeline; solid waste
